Autumn 2018

There was a surprise to our programme in June when Greta Palmer presented, “Dress to Impress”.  We heard about ceremonial dress for Indian elephants!  For the WI Birthday Outing this month, we enjoyed a day trip to Shugborough Hall.

At the next monthly meeting a photographer, Colin Brooks, gave us his perspective on finding Richard 111.  He brought many new photographs to show to us.

In August there was a change of venue when we met in the Church Hall. We welcomed Bridget Green, a Criminal Investigator.  She gave us an insight into her role of surveillance when working with law enforcement agencies. This is also the month for our annual Summer Lunch.  A plentiful cold buffet is provided at the home of a committee member.

The September meeting will take place as usual in the Village Hall.

We welcome new members.  If you are interested, please come to meet us on the first Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm in

Great Bowden Village Hall
