Walking Group

A small group of five members went for a walk in Cossington in August 2017 starting at The Royal Oak and across the meadows to Sileby Lock.  They had a lovely lunch and so enjoyed themselves, they decided to do it on a regular basis and so Glenfield WI’s Walking Group was formed.

Walking Group

The group will meet at 11a.m. on the 4th Tuesday of the month at a prearranged location and will walk at an easy pace for approximately 3 miles.  There will be an opportunity for lunch at the end of each walk but that will be entirely optional.

If you are interested in joining the group or just wish to walk occasionally, please ask Val Lancaster for more information.

Skittles

Skittles We have a very enthusiastic Skittles Team (long alley) who knows how to have a great evening aiming for a good place in the leagues in the name of Glenfield WI.  The team is made up of 10 members (8 players and 2 spares)

There are two Skittles competitions; the first is the Inter Group competition.  Glenfield is part of the 'Forest Group' which comprises Glenfield Park, Newbold Verdon, Botcheston, Kirby Muxloe, Ratby and Glenfield.  The second is the County competition which starts sometime in September.

We are always looking for new talent so would you be interested in joining the team?  It's not always 'ladies only' so family and friends are welcome to join in sometimes too.

This group meets every few months and although most are quite new to this craft, they are all very enthusiastic and keen to learn from the experts, Anne Wise and Edna Cobb.

Our meetings are always well advertised and all members are welcome to join in at any time.

Please contact Anne Wise if you wish to join us.
