Shearsby and Arnesby started their AGM with a Fish and Chip supper which was a good start.
We then had a brief talk from Lucy Freeman of the Lutterworth Trussell Trust Food Bank.
She explained to us how people who fall one hard times through illness, divorce, redundancy etc can be helped by a referal to the food bank. Members all brought along items for her to take back with her and she was very pleased.
The AGM proceed smoothly with no changes to the President or committee.
Kitty from Polka Dot Pottery came to Shearsby and Arnesby WI for the October meeting. We chose an item and decorated it as we liked. The pottery was taken away, glazed and fired and returned to us at our November meeting. We are all delighted with our efforts.

Shearsby and Arnesby September meeting enjoyed a most interesting and informative history lesson by Carol on the Grey family entitled “The People of Bradgate”. A friendly in house skittles match resulted in much hilarity at the Star and Garter, Wigston.
