Elmesthorpe WI have recently enjoyed two very educational meetings. Hinckley Fire Service visited and gave an informative talk on fire safety and included a tour of the fire engine. Last month, a local First Aider, talked the Institute through emergency resuscitation and members were encouraged to ask questions and attempt C.P.R. on the dummy.
Elmesthorpe celebrated their 80th birthday in style with a Caribbean party at the village hall. Everyone was presented with a lei and members danced to traditional island music performed by the "One Steel Band". Delicious food and wine was enjoyed and tropical decorations complemented the evening.
