Barbara Bowley President of Earl Shilton Afternoon WI. 

I have been a member of Earl Shilton WI since it started in 1984, firstly Secretary, then Program Secretary. For many years now I have been the President, which has given me lots of pleasure. Organizing events and making lots of friends .

The membership is growing each year. We are known for being a very friendly group.

The group is very popular because we meet in an afternoon, as some members no long feel comfortable in venturing out in the evenings, it also gives a purpose for ladies who may be lonely , living alone, or family moved away.

We try to have interesting Speakers each month, take part in competitions, and attend group and county events.

At the meetings we enjoy Tea and Cakes, which encourages conversation and  friendship.

A warm welcome always awaits anyone wishing to come along.
