Groups

Bitteswell WI are open to suggestions of other Groups/visits that our members may be interested in. Any ideas should be discussed with the Officers/Committee.  

Theatre Group

We have a Theatre Group who visit local theatres during the year. So far in 2017 we have been to:-

Concordia Theatre in Hinckley to see Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and Barnum.  

Wycliffe Rooms to see In at the deep end performed by the Micron Theatre.

These have all been very enjoyable visits and the performances superb.

We are actively looking to see where to go next!

Scrabble Group

Our Scrabble Club meet on the same dates and times as the Craft Club.

Walking Group

This is a new group formed this year and Ullesthorpe WI kindly gave us permission  to join their group.  This also allows us to be guided by more experienced walkers whilst enjoying their company.  On a very sunny day our first walk, of 5 miles, began at Bosworth Battlefield, took us along the canal path, through the village of Shenton and back to the Battlefield but not before a little break for refreshments at Whitemoors Tearoom.  Everyone enjoyed the day and went home to have a good sit down.

15th June - Harborough Magna to Easenhall. Pub lunch. Very enjoyable walk and  the sun was shining. It wasn't apparent how busy the train line to Rugby was until we walked along the canal and through the fields and heard over twelve trains passing. The canal was also busy with numerous canal boats travelling along. Arrived at the pub ready for a nice refreshing drink and lunch.
