NANPANTAN WI FEBRUARY MEETING

Nanpantan WI met as usual for our February meeting on a wet and windy winter night. We were a full compliment of members and were also joined by two visitors who, we hope, were made most welcome.

After the business and correspondence part of the meeting one of our members reported that the daffodils we planted last year between Nanpantan Road and the slip road were starting to peep through the soil – a hope of spring to come. The 100 daffodils were to celebrate the Centenary this year of Leicestershire WI.

After a cuppa and a chatty catch up members settled to make a greeting card under the guidance of one of our members, Anne, who is and expert on the craft. We all attempted to make a birthday card and the results were very pleasing even if they weren’t as good as the example we were following! We even took a photo to show our results.
